Oh to be a bloke!!

I cant make all these decisions any more so I have decided along with Mrs Mois' back to basics we should have a 'dress me' service, if it could be done whilst asleep even better. You see if you a bloke its all much more straight forward... there are no seasons its either hot or its f..... freezing, hence coat or no coat debate. But for girls well, spring, summer, etc now there is Party and Cruise on top of the heels or no heels or the with or without shoulder pads debate. Blokes don't worry if this years black is charcoal or whether sequins are still in!!!! (its OK they are until April). Male rule... if it fits and its comfortable then its trendy enough for me. Female rule..... does it make any part of me look, fat, old or out of date, that's before we have even considered is it this years colour, style and shape . So don't let anyone tell you its easy shopping its not it takes hours and a lot of skill and patience. That's why some of us go missing for days, and at Moi we have coffee, tissues, soothing music and a therapist.

Missing Person Found!

Good news - Claire from the Leamington Spa shop has been found!! She is currently unpacking the beautiful new clothes from Hoss Intropia and with more of the collection due this week, she is very glad to be found and unharmed!!

Missing Persons

Concerns increased tonight with regard to the whereabouts of Mrs Moi, EJ and Mrs Spa. The Shop Girls Diary has been silent for four days and; as yet; a ransom request has not been received but we are sure the perpetrators will be released unharmed and the recent silence will be very short lived. Actually they have been in "The Smoke" buying for Autumn and Winter 2010. How time flies in the "rag" trade !

Wardrobes - Minimum Requirements

My day did not start well. No sooner had I opened the doors for trade when a very smart gentleman entered the store looking for a black formal handbag ! Alas the cupboard was bare. After kicking myself several times I decided to develop a new New Years resolution which is to look after the Wardrobe basics.....

Little Black Dress, Black Patent Handbag, Tailored White Blouse,
Black Trousers, Vest Tops (various colours), Jeans (not for gardening)

.................... and this years must have, an Armani Blazer......

Thus, this Spring, and from now on, visit Moi and make sure your wardrobe inventory is where it should be.

New washing machine or new Jeans??

Well here is the problem... for the last few months my washing machine has been shrinking items of clothing. Not everything, jumpers are fine, but jeans, if fact anything with a waistband suddenly seems tight!! It does this every year around Christmas time and I know its not just me the whole family complains of uncomfortably tight clothing, (except of course teenage son who doesn't have any jeans that don't look like he borrowed them from a much larger tramp). Anyway there could be a number of explanations....1. Washing machine hates Christmas and gets nasty.... 2. Washing machine didn't get a Christmas present, so getting revenge....3. Washing machine at end of life and has to go. So this is my dilemma do I buy new washing machine or buy new Jeans, I have worked out I could have 3 new pairs for the same price!!

Jeans for Girls with Curves !!!

Another day in the frozen west is cheered up by the arrival of the new Armani collection..... hurrah! We now have jeans that go up to a size 16 for girls with bottoms to be proud of.

Leamington Spa Grand Opening

Forgot to mention it earlier but we are looking forward to the official opening of the new Leamington Spa store on Thursday February 11th 2010 at 5.30 pm. Invitations will be sent out soon. There will be a Valentines theme, mini makovers will be provided by Space NK and the proceeds from numerous fund rasing ideas will go to Breakthrough Cancer.

Weather Provides a Fashion Challenge

So this is how it works ! Moi starts to receive wonderful Spring and Summer stock and we get six inches of snow. Its hard to imagine wearing these clothes, despite the fact that they are gorgeous, when only a thin pane of glass separates a Shop Girl from the artic circle. Well at least the white linen blends in with the background!
